Let's be honest folks Gabriel is not as great as he has been made out to be. Actually, I think Banks' solo outings are more interesting and that is not saying much. I do like Games without frontiers and I like the progressive vibe throughout some of the songs. But, overall this is minimalistic garbage that somehow attracted an audience. I really can't understand why Phil and Pete became so popular. Both put out some of the most banal lacking music of the 80s and 90s. At least we still have their wonderful work of the 70s.

This is the second studio album by Bob Dylan and another favorite. It is listed as #97 on Rolling Stones Top 500 greatest albums of all time and still to this day sounds as sweet as it did in the sixties.

Dylan's outstanding second album is a tremendous jump from its predecessor. Whereas the debut established him as a peerless interpreter of folk and country-blues classics, and a singer like none before, this followup features some of the most pungent original songs of the '60s. "Blowin' in the Wind," "Masters of War," "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall," "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right," "I Shall Be Free": if this sounds like the lineup for a greatest-hits collection, you've got the idea. Nat Hentoff's liner notes are charmingly dated, but Dylan's idiosyncratic singing, unexpected lyrics, and inimitable guitar and harmonica playing are as immediate and relevant as whatever you heard on the radio today.
